[실무] 싱글 포인트 그라운드 vs 스타 그라운드 (Single Point Ground vs Star Ground)

Star Ground vs Single Point Ground by TI

 

 

싱글 포인트 그라운드(Single Point Ground)

싱글 포인트에서 분배되는 그라운드에서 모든 레퍼런스 포인트는 소스에서 시작됩니다. 그리고 이러한 소스는 모든 load까지의 경로에 Uninterrupted ground path를 제공합니다.

따라서 이 방법은 파워 배선에 권장됩니다.

 

원문: In single-Point distribution, all references points originate from the source which makes sure each resource has its own uninterrupted ground path (see Figure 1-1).

This connection is recommended for power distribution traces.

 

 

스타 그라운드 (Star Ground)

스타 그라운드에서는 모든 레퍼런스 포인트들이 하나의 중심에 위치하게 됩니다. 그러나 소스는 그렇지 않습니다. 이 방법은 모든 그라운드 패스에 공통 임피던스의 밸런스를 맞춰줍니다.

따라서 이 방법은 신호 배선에 권장됩니다.

 

원문: In star-ground distribution, all reference points are located centrally; however, the source may not
be centralized. This method balances the common impedance across all resources.
This connection is recommended for signal traces.
